Skeleton Love

You play our love song

on your bones. Music burrows

deep in my marrow.

You want to know what else makes my bones sing?  Halloween, baby!   Last night I was shopping for Halloween decorations at my local Value Village Thrift Store.  Here’s something that blew my mind: everything I bought was spankin’ brand new!  Yellow tags were 50% off, and all other tags were 30% off the marked prices!  Instead of blabbing on about my finds, allow me to share the photos through this nifty slideshow that Fly installed—

This cool 16″ wreath was $5; making the grand total I spent on all these lovely Halloween decorations at a paltry $10.37, including tax!

Are you a thrift shopper? Have you scored any finds lately? Curious monsters want to know!!

    1. I always do! It’s really mostly family and close friends, but I always dress up. I’m thinking of being a penguin or a snow leopard this Halloween. Are you dressing up?

Incidentally, I’ve been in love with your Skeleton Love pic for some time now! I was waiting for the right moment, and when Fly thought up SMM, I knew it wouldn’t be too long before I got to have fun with your image!! It’s a very good day for me today. xo 🎃 🕸

      1. Well I love Halloween but my costumes are always crap. It is fun though. Yeah that sounds like a good party to me ^_^ Hehe thanks I’m glad you used it. Yeah I had a good day too. All is well! 😀

  1. The haiku goes great with the awesome graphic. The Creature and I bought a Hallowe’en skeleton cat. It’s eyes glow red and it makes this hideous meowing/hissing noise. Looks just like the wife’s cat. Except it’s a skeleton. And it behaves.
I vote snow leopard for your costume.

    1. I know — cool Megaeggz graphics! Oh, my! Are you referring to Mrs. Og as “The Creature?” Lol!

That cat sounds amazing! No kitty litter needed, too. Best kind!!

The snow leopard is a much simpler costume to make, so I’m leaning towards that. Are you dressing up?

      1. Oh, no. The Creature is my loyal sidekick. The missus has a totally different nickname. Yes, the cat is awesome. No, I won’t be dressing up, unless jeans and a hoodie count. Last year I went as a nun, but my beard almost gave me away. 🙂

        1. You have a sidekick? I want a sidekick or at the very least, someone to carry me around, so my feet don’t touch the ground. Lol!

Ha! I bet you looked wonderful! I, for one, don’t think a bearded nun is out of the ordinary. Why do you think they remain chaste and untouched? 🙂 👻

          1. Oh, now it makes sense. Carl Sagan said that having a celibate clergy was a good idea as it eliminated the possibility of hereditary fanaticism. Carl Sagan was smart. Then he died.
Maybe I’ll go as his ghost!
            Nah.

            1. Carl Sagan was a genius. He died not very far from where we live; in Seattle. Another interesting thing to note is that he had several bone marrow transplants to try and save his life. So, you bringing him up, actually ties in well with my haiku.
